Engineering Update

Time has just flown by since the Autosport show back in January. The last time we blogged we were right in the middle of displaying the car for four days at the show. We had a brilliant time there and all the hard work that we put in to get the car ready really paid off…

Since coming back from the show we have dismantled her again so that the components could continue to be tested on the bench. The motors together with their inverters should be ready this coming week to be put back into place on the car. Also the battery pack should be off the load bank this week and fully wired into the car…

So plenty to be getting on with this coming week but luckily we’ve got our chief control engineer back from his sabbatical in Belgium! So progress is a lot quicker now…

Nearly all the low voltage wiring has now been done. Thanks and welcome to our latest sponsor Simtek (http://www.simtekuk.co.uk/) who have generously sponsored us with wiring connectors. They are specialists themselves in the field of wiring harnesses in motor sport.

So all in all, steady progress on the engineering side. We hope to get her running under her own steam within 2-3 weeks and all of us can hardly wait…

Thats is from the engineering side, stay tuned to hear more on logistics and a team day out at the British University Karting Championships (www.bukc.co.uk)…
