Bizarrely at the same time you have a low voltage cable problem, Tesla recalls all v2 & v2.5 Roadsters because of a 12 volt cable shorting issue!!

You are absolutely correct about no substitute for hands on experience.
There's been a few fighter jets that looked great on paper and in the lab, sailed through production, but were a mechanic's nightmare for the rest of the real flying!!!! I'm sure this road test will lead to some great modifications in the redesign phase for the next generation of cars.

When the trip is over it will be interesting to compare the performance of the two fan types... Are the first computer fans just as good performance-wise? Obviously not as sexy as your current fans.

Also, I'm curious as to how your tires are performing. These different terrains of the trip must be creating some wear and tear, eh?

Dear RGET ,
persistence and patience provides the answers – well done on
uncovering the technical problems .
There is nothing more rewarding when a pesky problem
is put to rest and in the process two monsters are killed
with one throw ( not fond of dispatching birds ) by revealing
another underlying difficulty .
It was very enlightening to read about “ La Linea ” and some
of the other road constructions supported by a whole lot of
photos with explanations – rather unusual topic but done with
aplomb – again indicative of the Colombian progress .
We are obviously curious to see how your reception will be
in Ecuador and we hope that you have been in contact with
your various principals in order to obtain clearance .

We wish you all the best from Ladysmith ( Kwazulu Natal )
in wet corner of South Africa , Charles and friends .
